Sigh.  I really want to lose weight and get abs.  In highschool, I swam.  When I stopped swimming in college, I finally realized just how much that activity helped me stay in shape and content with my body.

The first +15 pounds I brushed off as the popular “Freshman 15,” and so what:

Unfortunately for me, I was able to keep myself in denail about any need to watch my weight for the next 4 years of college.  I went backwards from losing weight and getting abs.  Just as I’m graduating, and am supposed to be feeling and looking my best, I look and feel the worst and I refuse to spend my next journey in life feeling this way.  In the above photo, I was a comfortable 145 lbs.

For the record, I have never been so blatant about myself or my weight.  None of whomever is reading can understand how big a step this is for me.

Here I am now.  Just yesterday, I stepped on a scale and saw 170.  This is why we meet here today. Seeing these photos of myself also does not help:

Lose Weight Get Abs

Committing to things and remaining dedicated is the hardest thing for me to do.  I have tons of unfinished journals and unfulfilled ideas.  I need to commit to losing weight, getting abs, and making a change.  Lose weight get abs! Let’s hope… well.. it is only on me to hope, and to achieve, that this not go over like other things in my life have.

In the spirit of baby steps, the title of this post, which I have already discussed, will be all I discuss.  Preliminary plans as to how I plan about going about losing this weight, predominantly stomach and thighs, will be the next baby step on my journey to losing weight and getting abs!

Here are some quick and easy tips to lose weight get abs, that I have begun to follow to keep me from over-eating at big family parties, I hope they help you all out!  Lets lose weight get abs together!

Challenge To-Do List:

1. When making your own sandwich or eating from a hero, be sure to cut your piece in half.  In these big eating situations, half of a sandwich is the perfect sized sandwich!

2.  Similarly, when walking through a buffet line, go wild, and fill up a plate of your favorites.  Before you sit down, split the plate with your cousin.

3. Do the same for any slice of cake handed to you.

4. If you really want to go to seconds, then DO IT.  But remember, do it wisely.  Go up for one last spoonful for all of your favorites.  Consider it a final “tasting sampler.”  Going in with this made up mentality will eliminate the desire for thirds.

5.  Interact with your family and friends! (That’s the point, after all).

6. If you’ve got a grandmother like either of mine, then she loves to push food on you,  (or mom, or aunt, they all love to do it, I don’t know why!)  kindly tell her that you love her cooking, and she shouldn’t waste a bite of her fantastic food on a stuffed stomach!

7.  Help clean up!  Eliminating the food will keep you from craving it, and helping is good. :)

Am I busy when the urge came on?

Do I feel as though I could eat a lot or a little?

What am I hungry for?

All of these small questions help me evaluate my desire for food, to see if it is genuine hunger or my mind playing a trick on me. Self-awareness is the most important thing.

The idea of dropping a few pounds intrigues many of us. People are unique in both the shape of their body and the lifestyle that they lead. There is not a one size fits all answer. One of the things that is recommend is doing a detox, to get the process started.
